THE NEW YEAR SET
I am just a Kansas girl, but not really. I’ve studied and worked in fashion, journalism, and finance in Chicago, NYC, and Dubai. All of these things prepared me for starting something independently.
For any entrepreneur, it's all about the baby steps. It's one bite at a time, there's so much to do. You just have to focus on a task at a time or else you'll lose it.
I have been fortunate to work for some very formidable and intelligent leaders of their industry and learned a great deal from them from which, I still draw from to this day. Among the most important things I learned from them, these are top tenets:
- Time management (having a schedule, to me, is so important).
- Keeping a finger on the pulse of the trade (know your market, but also you don’t want to ever follow. This is where you have the opportunity to show your.
- Authenticity. Know the process and ingredients in your products, plus the benefits).
- Tenacity: You only lose when you sell out. Like the bands that are overnight hits after they’ve been working at it for over ten years. (The “10K hour rule” is a thing. @malcomgladwell).
They say: “Summer bodies are built in the Winter”. Although, if you're anything like me, sometimes I need a little push to get going. This is where my two favorite virtual coaches have been so beneficial to my health and motivation. Especially with COVID and the winter months being in full force. Which is why I love my Peloton and these inspiring women that get me through those 30 minutes:

January is all about recharging and resetting. For me, when it’s cold outside I love warm soapy baths and snuggy pj's with big fuzzy socks. Dry skin gets the super emollient creams (my favorites are CeraVe, no makeup to let your skin breathe - and face masks .
January is the “wash” cycle and February is the “spin cycle”.
SPIN. Prior to moving to Dallas I used to take classes at the Peloton in Chelsea, NYC. I’ve never felt more fit and strong in my life. I’ve been so thankful for it, especially during Covid.
“The body you start working on in the New Year is what you have in the summer.”
March is “Let’s Go!” ™ Peloton
Happy New Years
